SGBA Membership
Joining the SGBA is an excellent way of getting out on the River Dart and enjoying the wonderful sailing, canoeing and boating it has to offer. The Association also organises an active social programme on and off the water throughout the year.
Benefits of membership

Unlimited use of the club's fleet of sailing dinghies, canoes, kayaks and rowing boats for an annual fee of £20 towards the cost of maintenance and insurance (payable with membership fees).

Daily use of the two club powerboats (donation to cover fuel).

Storage facilities for canoes and dinghies for an annual fee, but there may be a short waiting list for the foreshore spaces.

Secure lockers and free fuel storage at the Club House (there is a charge for the lockers and there may be a waiting list).

Bi-annual newsletter, Waves, giving you news of SGBA events, articles by members and information about forthcoming activities.

Access to RYA training courses in sailing and powerboats.

Invitations to SGBA events throughout the year.

Opportunities to join up with other members for informal sailing or boating trips.

Volunteering of help with social and sailing events is welcomed.

Voting rights at the club's Annual General Meetings and the opportunity to join the Management Committee of the SGBA.
Annual membership fees
- Family membership £50
- Joint membership £45
- Single membership £35
- Cadet (under 18yrs) membership £20
If you wish borrow any of the SGBA's boats, there is an annual fee of £20 to cover maintenance and insurance.
There is an additional one-off joining fee of £50.

Members are able to use the SGBA club boats at any time, provided they have satisfied the Quartermaster and/or Bosun that they are competent on the water, and they have paid the additional annual Boat Users fee.

The SGBA has a busy programme of sailing events throughout the summer season which members can participate in.
