Father Christmas arriving at the quay on Christmas Eve

Father Christmas asking what Emily was hoping for this Christmas.
Father Christmas visits Stoke Gabriel
It felt like the entire village turned out to see Father Christmas row across the Mill Pond on his annual Christmas Eve visit. His fairy lights twinkled as he rowed down the Mill Pond and floating lanterns flew up into the sky and were taken across the river by the breeze. It was a magical beginning to a busy visit to the quay.

When Father Christmas moored up at the quay, he was mobbed by the village children who followed him to his comfy seat outside the River Shack. Once settled he set about discovering whether children, young and some not so young, had been good boys and girls this year, and gave everyone a few chocolates.

Thanks to everyone who made this wonderful Christmas Eve visit special for villagers and visitors. A special thanks to Shelia and Vicky for organising the mulled wine and mince pies, and for convincing Father Christmas to take time out of his very busy evening to visit us.
